Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, LLC President/CEO Participates in HUBZone Small Business Seminar

Falls Church, VA - September 22, 2014 - Stephen R. Synnott, President/CEO of Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, LLC, a professional services and consulting firm catering to U.S. National security and private sector customers, participated in a Small Business Seminar, Ask the Experts: Answers to Your Contracting Questions, at the National HUBZone Council Conference. The September 19th panel discussion was hosted by the HUBZone Council and included experts from the following HUBZone companies: Premier Technical Services, Street Legal Industries, Federal Maintenance Hawaii and Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, LLC.

The HUBZone Contractors National Council is a non-profit trade association providing information and support for companies and professionals interested in the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Contracting Program. The annual meeting of the HUBZone Council, brought together hundreds of small business contractors and dozens of federal agency and prime contractor representatives for two days filled with education and networking opportunities. This year's event took place at the Westfields Marriott Conference Center, located in Chantilly, Virginia, near Washington Dulles International Airport.

The panelists answered questions regarding some of the challenges of the HUBZone program, including award and eligibility protests; employee recruitment and retention and principal office location for HUBZone companies. When asked about the appropriateness of protests, the panel agreed that protests should be based on undeniable evidence that a company is not meeting the requirements of the HUBZone program in order to preserve the integrity of the program. The panel provided many valuable suggestions for employee recruitment and retention including, but not limited to, a direct mail campaign to HUBZone addresses, posting of flyers on notice boards in HUBZone areas, providing training and counseling to your HUBZone residing employees to help them keep their job, etc. They also provided clarification on the issue of principal office location and employee numbers at such. Throughout the discussions, their individual experiences within the HUBZone program highlighted the benefits and challenges of this exclusive program.
